AIRGO
AirGO is a service concept designed to foster flow at the TSA airport security checkpoint and support travelers as they roam the airport waiting for departure.
In this one week project, we drew from an analogous situation of the grocery store check-out process and designed a transforming cart along with its service system. The AirGO cart enables people to load up their luggage and belongings prior to entering the security checkpoint; then automatically transforms to lay flat on the conveyor belt for scanning; and finally reassembles so people can exit the checkpoint and unload when convenient.
All team members contributed to research, opportunity definition, and concept generation. I personally contributed to developing the service system, touchpoints, and product ecology; presentation materials; and communicating the concept and its value.
